With more than 1,000 members and growing, the Adirondack Mountain Club -- ADK -- is dedicated to the protection and responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve, parks and other wild lands and waters. The Club, founded in 1922, is a member-directed organization committed to public service and stewardship. ADK employs a balanced approach to outdoor recreation, advocacy, environmental education and natural resource conservationWe offer a variety of outings and programs in the Adirondacks and Western New York. We joyfully share our knowledge of outdoor recreation. Join us if you would enjoy scheduled hiking, backpacking, canoeing, cross- country skiing, bicycling, and more, much more. We have the knowledge and the enthusiasm coupled with some of the nicest people you will want to share the great out-of-doors with. Attend our monthly meetings for information, fun and camaraderie. Meetings are held the second Tuesday evening of each month from September to May. Meeting location is the Amherst Community Church, 7 Washington Highway, Snyder. The education workshop starts at 6:30 P.M. with general meeting starting at 7:30 P.M. Each meeting is designed to educate and entertain our membership.
