Party guests will be take a make believe journey to new lands as they explore various clothing, crafts, food and instruments from around the world. A festive time will be had by all. | | MAD SCIENTIST’S LAB AGES 6 - 12 Is your child intrigued by messy fun and crazy concoctions? In this wacky and wild party, we will break out the lab coats and zany goggles as we transform party-goers into mad scientists! Participants will engage in all kinds of fizz-bangzap-fun as they experiment with slimy science, static electricity, chemical reactions and more! Children will not likely forget all the hair-raising fun at this electrifying party!
| DIGGIN’ DINOSAURS AGES 3 - 7 Party participants become young paleontologists and examine the fossilized teeth, horns and claws of some of their favorite dinosaurs. Party-goers will don lab coats and field hats, grab a clipboard, and head up to our Byron Dig Lab for a scavenger hunt where they will be challenged to identify new fossils fresh from the field. In true paleotological fashion, children will then dig up and assemble their own dinosaur skeleton as they venture into prehistoric times in this “dino-mite” birthday party. | | SNAKES & LIZARDS & FROGS, OH MY! AGES 6 - 12 Attention animal lovers: crawl, slither or hop on over to the Buffalo Museum of Science for this cold-blooded themed birthday party. Children will meet several live animals as they learn basic differences between reptiles and amphibians and discover why scaly and slimy creatures are so cool. | BUG BASH AGES 3 - 7 If your child loves exploring in the backyard and collecting bugs, then we have the perfect birthday party for you! Participants will discover all about insects and their buggy friends by taking a close up look at some real bugs. Children will learn what its like to be an insect by throwing on insect eyes and antennae and navigating their way around the room. Along with live animal visits, this creepy crawly party is sure to leave kids buzzing with excitement! | | SCIENCE BELOW ZERO AGES 6 - 12 This birthday party is the “coolest” of all. Children will experience the chilling effects of 320 degrees below zero liquid nitrogen as we experiment with solids, liquids and gases in a really cool way. Children start off the fun by role-playing molecules as they go through phase changes. Then they will watch in amazement as liquid nitrogen makes balloons “magically” deflate, rubber balls shatter, mist shoot high into the air, tennis balls launch from a cannon, and much more!
| | | | SUPER SLEUTH AGES 7 - 12 Participants become forensic scientists as they use scientific principles to investigate a mock crime scene. With the help of a magnifying glass and their thinking caps, children collect clues just like a detective. Partakers of this crime scene challenge will practice observation skills, use math, chemistry, and physics in the guise of footprints, ransom notes, and fingerprints to solve a crime much the same way police officers and forensic scientists do. |
