See how far your body can take you.
In contrast with the Museum's 2009 BODY WORLDS engagement, Vital tells the fascinating story how to best fight, manage and prevent life-threatening diseases -- such as cancer, diabetes, and heart ailments -- through healthy choices and lifestyle changes. Dr. Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS exhibitions display authentic human bodies, willed by donors and preserved through plastination. The series is designed to educate the public about the human body and increase health awareness.
Join over 36 million visitors worldwide who have experienced the anatomical exhibitions in the BODY WORLDS saga.

Rediscover the Buffalo Museum of Science
The Buffalo Museum of Science has added a number of new experiences since it welcomed BODY WORLDS & the Story of the Heart in 2009 and we encourage all Vital guests to explore our new permanent science studios, Explore YOU and Our Marvelous Earth - two of eight interactive spaces the Museum will open before 2016. It has also added the Explorations early childhood experience, a National Geographic 3D Cinema, and two new prehistoric family members, Seymour and Stanley.
