International Sun Day is a worldwide celebration of science outreach focused on our local star.
At the Buffalo Museum of Science, members of the Buffalo Astronomical Association will share views through their safely filtered solar telescopes and provide background information on the workings of the sun. You will be able to observe sunspots, arching prominences of hydrogen plasma and the intricate structures of the solar surface. It is a rare up-close and personal look at our sun - an experience not to be missed.
Included with general museum admission and free for BMS Members. Suitable for ages 8 to 98.
