Asaro men from Gameyufa, near Goroka in the Eastern Highlands Province paint their faces and body with light orange patterns in clay. Men, women and children all wear similar pattern of lines or dots. However, one man on the left uses a more complex pattern in the orange clay on both his head and arms. The man in front is almost completely obscured by the multiple layering of dried river grasses, mosses and strips of various plant leaves. He carries many bamboo bows with pointed ends. Each is reinforced at segments with twisted vines.
