Object ID:
6.01.0673.HMC
Place:
Papua New Guinea
Description:
A close—up of the women shows their face paints of red and white clays. Their hanging necklaces of Job's tear seeds cross their chest and surround their waists. A few wear the traditional boar's tusks, used in barter. Their skirts are probably dyed with trade store dyes or from natural colors of the pandanus palm seeds.
