Place:

Description:
A man in the center of the photo has transformed himself into a bird with an extended neck, like a large cassowary flightless bird. The top of the bird head is decorated with plumes from a two species of the bird of paradise — the red bird of paradise and the Raggiana. Mosses and ferns hang from his shoulders and so do the long body feathers of the large flightless cassowary. He wears a waist band—skirt with rolled plant leaves. Underneath he wears a pair of westernized shorts. In his hand he carries questionable items, possibly dried testicles. His hair and part of his upper body are covered with body feathers from the large cassowary bird. He carries a rattle of large seeds.
