SENSORY TOUR
GRADES PRE-K – 8
This is a great, hands-on program (especially for people with sensory needs and related disabilities) that engages visitors with touch, sight, sound, and even smells! This unique program lets students learn first-hand about the animals that live on the Niagara Frontier. Students will touch real animal fur, hear the sounds that different animals make, and see dioramas of animals in a simulated habitat.
Limit: 12 students

CLASSIFICATION: THAT’S THE NAME OF THE GAME!
GRADES PRE-K – 8
Scientists have spent centuries organizing everything in the universe into groups and categories. Whether plants, animals, rocks, or stars, there has to be a way to connect things if they are to make sense to us. Students will explore some of the ways classification occurs through hands-on, minds-on activities and adventures.
Limit: 60 students

EVERY OBJECT TELLS A STORY: THE MUSEUM’S COLLECTION
GRADES PRE-K – 12
Every object tells a story about adaptations, interactions, and conservation. Students will discover the story behind some of the many specimens and objects in the museum and become a part of the story!
Limit: 60 students

COLORAMA
GRADES 3 – 8
How does light affect the world? Why are there different colors? How do animals and plants use colors to their benefit? Students will explore the science of light and color in this interactive tour.
Limit: 60 students
