Science Studios
Looking to create a new model of science museum that combines hands-on elements and utilizes its vast 700,000+ piece collection, the Buffalo Museum of Science developed the concept of Science Studios: highly interactive and changeable areas within the museum – each at 1,700-3,000 sq. feet – focused on a specific science theme. With proper funding, BMS will install a new science studio every six months for the next four to five years.
Current and upcoming science studios focus on: health sciences, earth systems, motion, culture, biodiversity, extinction, space, and culture.
