Birthday Party Themes:

Diggin' Dinosaurs

Ages 3-7 Party participants become young paleontologists and examine the fossilized teeth, horns and claws of some of their favorite dinosaurs. Party-goers will don lab coats and field hats and head up to our Extinction Hall.  In true paleotological fashion, children will then dig up and assemble their own dinosaur skeleton as they venture into prehistoric times in this “dino-mite” birthday party.

Bug Bash

Ages 3-7 If your child loves exploring in the backyard and collecting bugs, then we have the perfect birthday party for you! Participants will discover all about insects and their buggy friends by taking a close up look at some real bugs. This creepy crawly party is sure to leave kids buzzing with excitement!

Butterflies & Blossoms

Ages 3-12 Party-goers explore flower growth and investigate the insect friends that help flowers. Younger participants dress up like their favorite flower friend and all participants do a hands-on activity.

Bubble Blast

Ages 3-12 Participants experiment with different solutions to see what makes the best bubbles. Children also use different contraptions to create bubbles and are encased in a huge bubble.

Pirate Science

Ages 3-12 Aaaarrrr! Mateys will set out on an adventure through the museum to find treasure. Back in the party room, the junior pirates will make their own boat and learn how much “gold” their ship can hold. Participants then use physics to figure out how to hit a target.

Museum Adventure

Ages 3-12 Come along on a venture around our exciting Museum galleries guided by one of our party hosts. Party guests will discover the story behind some of the many specimens and objects in the museum and become a part of the story!

Mad Scientist’s Lab

Ages 6-12 Intrigued by messy fun and crazy concoctions? Let’s throw on lab coats and zany goggles and experiment with slimy science, static electricity, chemical reactions and more! You won’t forget all the hair-raising fun you’ll have at this electrifying party!
Liquid nitrogen ice cream can be added for an additional $2.00 per child.

Science Below Zero

Ages 6-12 This is the “coolest” party ever! Experience the chilling effects of 320 degrees below zero liquid nitrogen and experiment with solids, liquids and gases in a really cool way. Become a molecule yourself and “perform” its phase changes with your friends. Watch in amazement as liquid nitrogen makes balloons “magically” deflate, rubber balls shatter, mist shoot high into the air, tennis balls launch from a cannon, and much more!
Liquid nitrogen ice cream can be added for an additional $2.00 per child.

Walk Like an Egyptian

Ages 7-12

Explore the fertile banks of the Nile River with this one of a kind Egyptian-themed birthday party.  Children will “meet” real mummies on a tour of our Whem Ankh exhibit before they return to the interactive Egypt party room and immerse themselves in the lives of these fascinating people of long ago. Not even King Tut had a party quite like this!
