Explore Together!
Since its 2009 reopening, our interactive Explorations gallery has inspired thousands of wee explorers and toddlers to explore the basics of science every week. It's exciting and colorful setting will draw your little scientist right in!
Designed for early childhood development and science learning, Explorations features interactive stations with play themes focusing on a variety of science-based concepts and encourages adult-child interaction. Science topics include energy, space, weather, light, and the environment, and encourages adult-child interaction as well as independent discovery.
Play dress-up and become a ladybug for a morning, create your own skyscraper, or blast off into space! The possibilities are endless in Explorations.
Explorations also features an enclosed area for the tiniest of scientist to explore on their own and a nearby Family Care Room for nursing and changing needs.
Weekly Programs
Explorations also offers weekly programs for ages 3-5, including newer programs like The Art of Science and Curiosity Corner, and also offer Wonders of Science Storytime for all ages every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:30am. When the weather is nice, programs may also head outside to the Wee Can Grow garden for a more natural and relaxing setting.
