Science Cafe
What is the Science Cafe lecture series all about?
Science Cafes aren't your typical science lectures. We like to think of them as "Happy Hour Science" events for adults 21 and over that offer a fun twist to science that happens around us every day.
Each Science Cafe focuses on a different science topic and features a cash bar and presentations by specialists in an associated field. Presentations also sometimes include demonstrations, such as the tasing demonstration during our CSI Science Cafe in March 2012. Presentations are followed by Q&A sessions with the speaker.
We also allow Science Cafe attendees to scope out the museum's sidehalls (kid-free!) before and after the presentations.

Science Cafe: Sports Edition
Friday, November 16 5:30-8:30pm
Our third installment of our our Happy Hour lecture series featuring a cash bar and a twist to your typical science lectures will focus on sports science.

CEO OF PRIMORDIAL STRENGTH SYSTEMS
Mr. Helmicki will speak about proper strength training and breathing techniques for the prevention of sports injuries.
- Dr. Michael Raugh
UB ORTHOPAEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE
Dr. Raugh will speak about his experiences in knee and shoulder arthroscopy and sports centered medicine in the treatment of injuries.
