Wee Explorers Monthly Experience

Calling All Wee Explorers and their favorite caring adult to join us for a monthly group experience! Each program will engage the wee explorers in an interesting science or cultural theme through hands-on activities.

Time: 10:30-12:00 or 1:00-2:30
Ages: 3-5 with caregiver
NEW FEE* (as of November 2010)

Museum Members:
$7.00 per class
Non-Members:
$16.00, includes museum admission for 1 adult and 1 child
$5 each add'l child for Members and non-members

MONTHLY THEMES

April 3rd (10:30am) and 4th (1:00pm)

Can you hear it, smell it, see it, feel it?
The earth is waking up!!! Join us as we watch and enjoy the wonders of SPRING. We will even plant a few seeds and add to the explosion of new life.
 

May 1st (10:30am) and 2nd (1:00pm)

Plant it and they will come.
Grass, flowers, trees and most of the food we eat, all come from seeds. How many seeds do you eat everyday?  Explore seeds,  many different sizes, shapes and uses.
 

June 5th (10:30am) and 6th (1:00pm)

Creepy, Crawlers, Jumpers and Flyers
What can you learn about the tinny world of  bugs by just watching them. Learn how to tell the difference between an insects and a spiders. Bugs may bug us but join us as we learn why we need them to stay healthy in order for us to be healthy.
