SENSORY TOUR
This is a great, hands-on program (especially for people with sensory needs and related disabilities) that engages visitors with touch, sight, sound, and even smells! This unique program lets students learn first-hand about the animals that live on the Niagara Frontier. Students will touch real animal fur, hear the sounds that different animals make, and see dioramas of animals in a simulated habitat.
Limit: 12 students
GRADES PRE-K – 8
CLASSIFICATION – THAT’S THE NAME OF THE GAME!
Scientists have spent centuries organizing everything in the universe into groups and categories. Whether plants, animals, rocks, or stars, there has to be a way to connect things if they are to make sense to us. Students explore some of the ways classificiation occurs through hands-on and minds-on activities, and adventures.
Limit: 60 students
GRADES 3 – 8
COLORAMA
Students will explore the science of light and color in this interactive tour. How does light affect the world? Why are there different colors? How do animals and plants use colors to their benefit? What is the connection between physics and biology?
Limit: 60 students
