Did you know the Museum houses over 700,000 specimens in our collection, or that a significant part of the collection pertains to the Greater Niagara Region? Get behind-the-scenes to see what few have seen and explore our research, special, and teaching collections in themed tours taking place throughout the month. Tours are approximately 2 hours in length.

Holmes! What kind of rock is this? Sedimentary, my dear Watson. Learn why this and other CoRn Y jokes are funny by investigating the Museum’s Geology Collection. What you see on display is just the tip of the iceberg. Come behind the scenes and see the rock cycle, marvel at our minerals and discover our large fossil collection.

Each session consists of two classes. Five paid registrants will be needed for the session to run. If registration is low, we will combine to one glass of ages 7-11.

Cost: $50 per child; 10% off for BMS Members
Class Groups: K-2, 3-6

Teams of two to 10 people will work together to gather clues from witnesses located throughout the Museum to determine whodunit, along with the weapon of choice and the scene of the crime.

LEGO E-Club is designed to provide kids with an enjoyable activity that stimulates and develops spatial intelligence. Students will build vehicles, buildings, gears and whatever leaps into their imaginations! Give your child time to relax, create, innovate and collaborate.

Bring in a geological specimen (i.e. rock, mineral, fossil) to be identified by the trained Museum staff.
