Trek Tifft
Join Friends of Tifft for a guided tour of the preserve. This drop-in program runs every Sunday except the 3rd Sunday of the month.

Tifft
Learn To Bird
The Audubon Society has designated Tifft as an “Important Birding Area”, so what better place to learn to bird than at Tifft? Join one of Friends of Tifft’s experienced birders as they teach you how to use binoculars and your ears to locate and identify birds by sights and sounds.

Choices in Sustainable Living – A Friends of Tifft Event
This interactive program will delve deeply into how each of us can reduce our own “carbon footprint” which adds to the Earth’s warming. We will explore the meanings of sustainability, consider the ties between our lifestyle choices and learn how we an start to take steps to move towards a more Earth friendly lifestyle. We will have fun learning in hands-on activities. Take away material will also be provided.

May Marsh Walk
Looking for a fun way to get outside with the family this spring? Join Friends of Tifft for a scavenger hunt around the marsh! Learn about the animals that call Tifft’s marsh home.

Tifft History Tour
Tifft has an interesting history and plays a major role in Buffalo’s past. Spend an afternoon learning how the layout of the preserve has been affected over the years and find some “secret” spots where you can still see remnants of its history. Marvel at nature’s ability to reclaim the land and use old maps and photos to imagine the original layout of the preserve.
