Directions

Tifft Nature Preserve is located at:

1200 Fuhrmann Boulevard
Buffalo, New York 14203
716.825.6397

Note for all Routes: The Nature Preserve entrance is only accessible through the underpass from Fuhrmann Blvd. which is now two-way traffic on the west side of Route 5.

From the South:

Take Route 5 to the Tifft St. exit.  Once off the exit go around the circle heading towards the lake (you will go underneath the skyway).  Make a right onto Fuhrmann Blvd.  Continue on Fuhrmann Blvd. Tifft entrance will be on the right. Make a right through the underpass and park in the front lot.

From the North:

Take Route 5 (the skyway) to the first exit.  Once off the exit make a right hand turn.  At circle continue around heading south with the Lake on your right.  Continue on Fuhrmann past Ohio St., Tifft will be the first underpass on your left.  Make a left through the underpass and park in the front lot.

Alternative Route: Take Route 5 (skyway) to the second exit, Tifft St.  Once off the exit make a U-turn to the right.  Continue on Fuhrmann Blvd.  Tifft entrance will be on the right.  Make a right through the underpass and park in the front lot.

Alternative Route:  Follow Ohio Street until it leads into Fuhrmann Boulevard.  At the traffic stop turn left onto Fuhrmann Blvd.  Continue on Fuhrmann Blvd. Tifft entrance will be on the left.  Make a left through the underpass to the parking lot.  



 

 

 

Makowski Visitor Center Hours

Our Visitor's Center is open and staffed Wednesday through Saturday 10am - 4pm, and Sunday noon - 4pm. To call Tifft directly, please call 716.825.6397 or to register for Tifft programs, please call 716.896.5200 x338.

Admission

General admission to walk the trails and enjoy to sites of Tifft Nature Preserve is free - donations are gratefully accepted. If you are visiting Tifft for public or school programming, please refer to the program's description for programming fees.
