The Buffalo Museum of Science and Tifft Nature Preserve offer distinctive spaces for banquets, weddings, concerts, performances, corporate meetings, seminars, parties and more. Please download our facility rental brochure or scroll down for more information.

All renters requiring food and beverages services must work with one of our preferred caterers. Please click here to download our list of exclusive caterers.

HAMLIN HALL

  An elegant hall in the heart of the Museum, Hamlin Hall is perfect for formal events – from dinners to lively receptions.
  Capacity: 400 stand up, 180 sit down, 150 sit down with dance floor
(3,960 sq. feet)
 Availability:

This area may only be rented when the Museum is closed to the public.

 


 

BALCONY/ATRIUM

  Our second-floor balcony is connected to the original Museum façade and presides over the first floor atrium. With a four-story ceiling and grand staircase in the middle, this area can be used by itself or in conjunction with Hamlin Hall. 
  Capacity: 600 standing, 150 sit down (10,460 sq. feet combined)
Availability

This area may only be rented when the Museum is closed to the public.

     
   


 

ROOFTOP

  A party on the rooftop observation deck will have your guests talking about their experience for years to come. Enjoy breathtaking city views and stargazing on a clear night. 
  Capacity: 100 standing (1,728 sq. feet)
Availability:

This area may only be rented when the Museum is closed to the public. Use of the rooftop is dependent on weather and the space is not accessible by elevator.

 


 

  

CUMMINGS ROOM 

Cummings Room

   
  The Cummings Room features flexible set-up for everything from workshops and training sessions to sit-down dinners and banquets.
  Capacity: 100 (1,873 sq. feet)

ENTIRE MUSEUM

TIFFT EDUCATION CENTER*

*Unavailable starting in September 2013 due to construction.

A  serene retreat in the city, Tifft Nature Preserve is located just three miles from downtown Buffalo off the new Outer Harbor Parkway. A large room and
amenities are available indoors. However, the 264-acres containing five miles of trails, three boardwalks and a cattail marsh are the real draw. Fishing at Lake Kirsty, snowshoe rentals and expert guides are also available.

Tifft can accomodate both wedding receptions and ceremonies for up to 200 guests.

  Capacity: 100 inside, 200 outside (1,000 sq. feet inside, 264 acres outside)
  Availability: Additional fees may apply for security and maintenance staff depending on times requested.
