Go Fish! Grant Closing Open House

Three years. Thousands of aquatic specimens. A federal grant-funded labor of love to catalog and organize them all. And now, you can peek behind the curtain to see and celebrate the work that went into the Go Fish! project at the Buffalo Museum of Science!

Our collections team is holding an open house from 1 – 4 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, to give Museum visitors a chance to tour the newly-restored collection of fish in our wet room, as well as take part in hands-on activities and meet our volunteers who completed the work.

Entry to the open house is included with Museum admission or membership. Visitors who are interested in attending should meet our collections staff on the fourth floor in the Buffalo in Space exhibit anytime between 1 and 4 p.m.
