Step into a Winter Wonderland at the Museum of Science!

Celebrate the season with an evening of frosty fun and cool discoveries. Explore the science behind snow, ice, and the incredible creatures that thrive in the cold. Enjoy hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and creative crafts for all ages.

Highlights include:

  • Creatures of the Cold – Meet fascinating Arctic animals like the hare, fox, caribou, and ermine, and learn how they survive in extreme conditions.
  • Engineering a Ski Lift – Discover the physics and engineering that make ski lifts work.
  • Snowball Catapult – Build your own mini catapult and launch “snowballs” across the room!
  • What is Blubber? – Find out how animals stay warm in winter with this interactive demo.
  • All About Snow – Play in realistic fake snow and uncover the science behind snowflake formation.
  • Snowflake Art – Create your own snowflake masterpiece while learning the science behind its unique shapes.
  • The Ice Age – Travel back to the Pleistocene Epoch and explore the climate and species of the last glacial maximum.

Plus, check out our popular Below Zero Stage Show at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and experience thrilling demonstrations with dry ice and liquid nitrogen!

Tickets: General admission pricing ($23 per adult, $19 per child, FREE for members)
Optional Snow Globe craft available below for $6 per person while supplies last.

To pre-register for the snow globe activity, use the button below. Each guest will still need a ticket for Winter Wonderland or membership, sold separately. Activity will also be available for add-on at the admissions desk on the day of the event.
