
Community Health Day sponsored by Independent Health
The Buffalo Museum of Science’s free admission day, Community Health Day sponsored by Independent Health, takes place on Thursday, June 19, 2025!
Area schools will be closed for the Juneteenth holiday giving families the opportunity to explore the Museum’s interactive exhibits and galleries free of charge.
Community Health Day offers a number of health and wellness-focused activities for visitors of all ages from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free admission will be available until the Museum closes at 4 p.m.
Enjoy family-friendly activities with health-focused community partners including Colored Girls Bike Too, Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports, Parent Network of WNY, EPIC for Children, Mental Health Advocates, Kids Escaping Drugs, Buffalo African American Museum, The Tool Library, CDC Million Hearts with the UB School of Nursing, and more, as well as a special Juneteenth Story Time led by BMS staff.
The Museum’s rooftop will be open for solar viewing until 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Independent Health will offer FREE GIVEAWAYS for all (while supplies last) and a variety of health and wellness activities, led by RedShirts and its community partners, including a family fitness activity from YMCA Buffalo Niagara, PlayStreets programming from the Police Athletic League of Buffalo, Reddy Bikeshare demonstrations, and more.
No preregistration is required. All ages are welcome!
