Celebrate with Science
Give your child a birthday celebration they’ll remember for years to come, filled with science and fun! Choose from various party themes.
Year-Round Party Themes
Children’s literature opens the door into the land of science and imagination. You and your child will choose a book that we will help bring to life via fun science activities. Learn about insects from The Very Hungry Caterpillar, astronomy from Happy Birthday, Moon, or the Earth and recycling from The Earth and I.
Party participants become young paleontologists and examine the bones, horns and claws of some of their favorite dinosaurs. Party-goers will don lab coats and field hats and head up to our Rethink Extinct science studio, where they’ll dig up and assemble their own dinosaur skeleton.
Go beyond the bubble basics! With the help of a BMS “Bubble-ologist,” you and your guests will be creating, painting with and even standing in bubbles.
Aaaarrrr! Mateys will set out on an adventure through the Museum to find treasure. Back in the party room, the junior pirates will make their own boat and learn how much “gold” their ship can hold.
Reach for the Stars
This party is sure to be out of this world! Young astronomers will learn the science behind rockets and take a trip into our inflatable planetarium to learn how to identify constellations and the myths behind them. *Not available on Sundays.
There’s a mystery at the Museum – can you help us solve it?! Step into the shoes of an official crime investigator! Learn how to collect and analyze fingerprints and other important evidence.
Mad Scientist’s Lab
Intrigued by messy fun and crazy concoctions? Let’s throw on lab coats and goggles and experiment with static electricity, chemical reactions and more!
Science Below Zero
This is the “coolest” party ever! Experience the chilling effects of liquid nitrogen and watch as it makes mist shoot high into the air, balloons “magically” shrink, rubber balls shatter, and much more!
Creativity and scientific thinking go hand in hand as your party will learn science through art activities. We will explore the science behind iridescence, paint using force and motion, and experiment with colorful chemical reactions.
Explore your inner maker by using your creativity to make things while rotating through three different hands-on activities of your choice. Options include 3D pen printing, wood working, electrical circuitry, robotics and laser engraving.
Saturday & Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., or 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
