Conversations in Science: Cicada Mania and Brood X

Speakers: Larry Wozniak and Marisha “Mo” Burgess, Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences Entomology Volunteers

Description: Join us for a talk about all things cicada for hot cicada summer and the Brood X emergence. Our volunteers in entomology collections are eager to share their insight and passion about the bugs around us, from our Collections to their field trips to catch the Brood X emergence in Virginia. They’ll share specimens from our research Collections that come from around the world and right in our backyards.

Bring all your cicada and Brood X questions, or send them in advance to [email protected].

Cost: Free! Register in advance for Zoom link.

Conversations in Science, presented by RP Oak Hill Building Company, offers scientists and researchers an opportunity to informally chat with the community about trending science topics.
