Hey Google, Are Robots Racist? with UB’s Center for Information Integrity
University at Buffalo‘s Center for Information Integrity (CII) will explore the Hidden Bias of our AI-assisted Worlds in the Museum auditorium on Saturday, February 18 at 12 p.m. Learn more at UB’s website.
CII is bringing together scholars from widely different fields who have thought deeply about both the promise and pitfalls of artificial intelligence (AI). What things can AIs do well, and where do they fall short? How does math become biased anyway? What things do humans need to continue to do? Are we nearing the robot apocalypse? They will share their thoughts and respond to your concerns.
Admission to the talk is free to the public. Guests may pay admission to explore the Museum and our special exhibit, Reinventing Reality, before or after the program.
