Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing

On Saturday, October 14, the moon will gradually make its way to cover 20 percent of the sun between 12 and 2 p.m., resulting in a partial solar eclipse!

Join us for free museum admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and learn how to safely enjoy this astronomical event. Grab a pair of free eclipse glasses and head outside with Museum facilitators (weather permitting*) to learn how to view eclipses safely.

Hang on to your glasses and keep them in a safe place, because you’ll want them for the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024!

*In the event of rain blocking the partial solar eclipse, the outdoor viewing will not take place, but the Museum will still be open for guests to explore. There will be eclipse-themed activities taking place inside the Museum from 10 – 2. Guests can pick up eclipse glasses at the admissions desk.

Free museum admission all day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
