SciNight Workshop: Seeing Sounds – Spectrograms

What does it mean to look at a sound? Scientists use a tool called a spectrogram to represent audio in a visual format. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the creation and application of spectrograms and create your own laser-engraved spectrogram keepsake of a word or phrase of your choice.

Special Presenter: Chris Heffner, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences, University at Buffalo

Ages: 18+

Cost: $30 per participant (BMS Members save 10%)
