Mom Said No: Live at the Museum!

July 11, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join us at the Museum for an acoustic set from the band, Mom Said No. After the performance, stick around and chat with the band about songwriting and hear stories of their musical experiences!

From their humble origins playing for friends and family to playing such prestigious headlining events as Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac’s Music is Art Festival, premier venues and regularly sold out performances, Elliott Hunt, Tim Jackson, Ben Mac, Chris Lillis and Marcus Ryan make up the band Mom Said No.

They have perfected a brand of high-energy, dramatic, tuneful, and memorable alternative pop. With the vocal harmonic influences from The Beach Boys to the high energetic performances of James Brown and the pop sensibilities of The Cars, Mom Said No is truly an experience of its own.

While you’re here, make sure you visit our newest traveling exhibition, Medieval To Metal: The Art & Evolution Of The GUITAR, presented by RP Oak Hill Building Company!

This performance is included with general admission and FREE for Members!

The Musicians of Buffalo (MOB) whose primary members include: Jessie Galante, Bobby Lebel and Billy Sheen, each year host a special Christmas event of which portions of the proceeds have been donated to Music is Art.

The MOB and Music is Art, as part of the MOB’s musical programming in support of the Guitar Exhibit, are proud to present “Mom Said No” for an acoustic session including music and discussion of the songwriting process on the guitar.
